Shakti Dance is the yoga of dance, a contemporary and new type of dance practice that uses flowing movement to increase prana or the subtle life force in the body.
 
Infused with the awareness of yoga, Shakti dance releases physical tensions and expands the mind to develop a more trancendental awareness and understanding of body, mind and emotions.
 
Phases in a 1 hr class include floor stretching, standing exercises, free dance, and meditation in movement to mantra.
 
Beginners welcome. Men welcome. No previous dance or yoga experience necessary. Come drop in and connect with your inner shakti! Bring a mat if you have one.
